First Impression: iOS Game - Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4

Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4 for iOS was released last weekend. I don't consider myself the biggest Harry Potter fan, but I am familiar with the story. Based on what I've seen of the game around the internet, it looked very entertaining so I had to give it a try. (more after the jump)

I've only had time to play about 10 minutes of it, but so far my initial impressions are very positive. The game starts with a very cute pre rendered cutscene, where Harry is being delivered to the Dursely residence. All of the characters have been "mini-fig'd" giving the game a great look and feel, in line with the Lego theme.

Vernon Dursley portrayed in mini-fig form during a cutscene.

The game runs very smoothly on my iPhone 4, and the controls are very intuitive. To move the character around, you simply hold your finger on the screen where you want them to go--it's as simple as that. Load times are brisk, and not annoyingly frequent so far. I'll have to see if that holds up in later levels.

I'll post a more detailed review once I've had time to delve into the game further. Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4 is $4.99 from the App Store.
